Scale-Up and Acceleration

Research area six visual

ACET's research on scale-up acceleration explores how local, community-based energy solutions and innovations can be expanded, amplified or reproduced in ways that accelerate energy transformation in other communities across Canada and around the world.

Part of this work includes analysis of the economic, social, political or cultural conditions that might block one community from using solutions that worked for another. We also consider how peoples' beliefs and values can shape enegy decisions and unlock new possibilities for transformative change.

By working closely with community leaders, business, governments, First Nations, peer networks and various communities of practice, our researchers build practical tools, make policy recommendations and find technological solutions that advance our partners' clean energy and development goals.

Together, we make clean energy transformation faster, more equitable and more efficient - starting from the local level and scaling-up to make positive impacts worldwide.
