New UVic Directories now available

UVic’s new directories tool is now available. You can find it under the magnifying glass at the top right corner of the uvic.ca website. You can search by department or by person. We’ve improved accessibility, searchability, and overall user experience. In the new directory it is easier to find the right contact and understand how individuals fit within their department or unit. Our thanks to the over 250 departmental directory admins who have been busy building and publishing their pages over the last two months.

What's new?

  • Improved accessibility for people using assistive technology, with the directory designed to meet modern web accessibility standards.
  • Contact blocks, allowing visitors to quickly find the best way to reach your department or unit.
  • Enhanced search capabilities make it easier to find people, departments, and contact information across UVic.
  • Better security, contact information is hidden by default to anyone who is not logged in to the UVic website.

The new UVic directories are available to all members of the campus community and will continue to evolve as additional enhancements are introduced.
