New IT status service launches September 2026

University Systems is launching status.uvic.ca in September 2026. The site will provide the campus community with timely information about planned maintenance and unexpected disruptions affecting UVic IT services.

The new site replaces Informed as the place to check the current status of services provided by University Systems. You will continue to be able to find status updates on the University Systems website as well.

Stay informed about the services you use

On status.uvic.ca, you can:

• check whether University Systems services are operating normally
• view details and updates about current incidents
• see planned maintenance that may affect you
• subscribe to email, text message or Atom/RSS updates for selected services
• follow updates for a specific incident

You can choose the services that matter to you and change your subscription settings at any time. Existing Informed subscriptions will not transfer automatically, so subscribe on the new site if you want to continue receiving service notifications.
