Darren Rayner

Darren is a Vancouver-based filmmaker with extensive experience in action sports and commercial film production. He is co-creator of the film production company Magnafire. Darren has an impressive portfolio and currently creates branded content for clients including Oakley, Mazda, and Red Bull. Darren was inspired by the many talented athletes he met while studying at UVic and developed his passion for filmmaking while completing his Psychology degree. 

I chose to pursue a degree in Psychology because I knew it was something I would be able to use in everyday life, not just at work. Psychology is very closely tied to filmmaking and has helped me in a number of ways; from developing a concept for a film, to strengthening client relationships, or understanding the ever changing world of digital content and how we consume media today.
