University of Victoria smashes data transfer record

At the Supercomputing Conference 2012 (SC2012) held Nov 12 - 16th, an international effort led by the California Institute of Technology, the University of Victoria, the University of Michigan and other collaborators broke the previous network data transfer record achieving 339 gigabits per second, nearly doubling last year's record.
