Elvia is a PhD student in Public Administration at the University of Victoria. Under the supervision of Dr. Tamara Krawchenko and Dr. Robert Newell, her research focuses on the use of realistic geographic visualizations as participatory tools in land use planning and community sustainability. She focuses on integrated approaches that respond to the pressing issues of climate change, biodiversity loss, public health, and energy systems. Her work brings together systems thinking, co-creation, and visual knowledge translation to advance inclusive governance and cross-sectoral decision-making.
