Chris completed his B.Sc. degree at the University of Calgary in 2020. During his undergraduate degree, he worked as a research assistant in the Kimura-Hara group. His project involved studying the quantification of halogenated disinfection byproducts using adsorption, combustion, and ion chromatography.

In the fall of 2020, the University of Victoria’s Green Safe Water Lab to pursue a Master's degree in chemistry. During his degree, he will be working on the development of the optical fluoride sensor by studying the aluminum-fluoride solution interface to better understand the sensor under different working conditions.

In his spare time, you can find him backpacking, climbing, or out for a motorcycle ride.
