Yalda Saedi is an interdisciplinary energy and geospatial systems modeller. Her expertise in sustainable energy engineering and geospatial sciences bridges power system modelling, earth observation, and climate analytics to support energy transition planning and policy decision-making.
Her current work focuses on provincial and national power system modelling, including interprovincial transmission assessment, policy and technology pathway analysis to inform energy transition strategy and electricity system planning. She also models policy impacts and clean energy incentives, and develops Python-based tools that integrate geospatial data with open-source climate and energy frameworks for scalable, cross-jurisdictional analysis.
She has contributed to and organized international training and capacity-building initiatives, including the Energy Modelling Platform, engaging stakeholders across academia, government, and industry.
