Chiradeep Majumdar is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria, under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Rowe. His research focuses on using integrated assessment models to evaluate energy transition pathways.

Prior to re-entering academia, Chiradeep was employed as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Shell and Worley in the Canadian energy sector. There, he gained experience in the delivery of engineering projects and an understanding of the inner workings of the energy business. As his research progresses, Chiradeep aims to use these learnings to deliver results.

An avid outdoors person, Chiradeep enjoys cycling, hiking, camping, & scuba diving and is looking to balance his research with the beauty that Vancouver Island has to offer.
