Robert is a M.A.Sc. student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria under the supervision of Dr. Curran Crawford, in partnership with Ocean Networks Canada and the Solid Carbon Project. His research involves assessing and developing methodologies for deep-sea transportation/storage of carbon dioxide and injection in deep-sea basalt formations for long-term sequestration.
Prior to beginning the Master’s program, Robert completed his B.A.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Energy and Environmental Systems and Processes at the University of Waterloo (Canada) in 2025. His undergraduate research focused on carbon dioxide removal, specifically the development novel direct air capture technologies.
In his free time, Robert loves to sing, dance, and enjoy the outdoors whenever possible.
