To better understand the utility of drug checking instruments, technologies and practices for people who use drugs and others impacted by and responding to the overdose emergency.

Progress to date

This project (https://substance.uvic.ca) continues to provide drug checking as a harm reduction service each weekday in combination with an active program of research. The services continued and expanded through the pandemic due to rapid adaptations and responsive HREB processes and initial publications have now been published.
