Borrowing from outside Victoria

Unable to visit the UVic campus? If you live outside of Greater Victoria, we can send print materials to you. 

• Scan requests will be delivered by email.
• Requests for print books and other physical items will be delivered with a pre-paid return shipping label (within Canada).

You can also access our electronic library resources from off-campus.

UVic students and faculty members can fill out a form to request the materials you need. Then we’ll send them to you.

Distance students

This service is free for any current student living outside of Greater Victoria.

If you are a student in a distance program but you live in Victoria, you must pick up your materials at the Ask Us Desk in the Mearns – McPherson Library or at the front desk in the Priestly Library.

Whether you’re on or off campus, research support and assignment help are available for all students. Contact us if you have questions.

Faculty

Distance borrowing is free for any faculty member living outside of Greater Victoria.

Faculty and instructors in Victoria can request library materials to be sent to your office.
