New Book Arts room opens

Over the summer months of 2023, UVic Libraries worked with artist and master printer Jake Maddison to establish UVic Libraries’ Book Arts lab on the lower level of the Mearns Centre for Learning - McPherson Library. The newly established teaching space provides hands-on, dynamic learning opportunities with contemporary and historical book arts equipment, and information technologies more broadly.

In February 2024, the Libraries offered an Introduction to Letterpress Printing in conjunction with UVic Continuing Studies.
