Racial Justice Program
The Racial Justice Program for Black Law Students (RJP) is funded by a Law Foundation of British Columbia Racial Justice Initiative Grant.
Since 2024, the RJP committee expanded and enhanced educational supports, professional development and wellness resources for Black Law students at the UVic Faculty of Law.
Our priorities
- to deliver academic, professional development and wellness programming to students
- to build a strong foundation for the long-term future of the program by developing a comprehensive program of academic, professional development and wellness supports for students

- conference funding support of up to $2000 for each UVic Law JD and JD/JID Black law student received conference funding support (reword)
- group tutoring sessions and workshops including strategies for success and course and program advising
