Updates for international students

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions have been put in place that limit travel to Canada.

All international students should review the appropriate information before travelling to Canada or beginning their studies.

The International Centre for Students (ICS) is a centralized resource providing international services, information and programs for undergraduate and graduate students from pre-arrival to degree completion.

International Student Advising

The Advising team provides pre-arrival support, settlement services on arrival, and immigration assistance (e.g., study permit, work authorization) for undergraduate and graduate international students who are seeking a UVic credential, as well as undergraduate and graduate international students who are visiting UVic from other institutions.

International Exchange Program

The Exchange team coordinates and supports student exchanges, incoming and outgoing, for undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculties of Humanities, Science and Social Sciences, with over 70 partner universities in 20 countries around the world.

UVic Global Community

Global Community advisers coordinate the GC Mentorship Program, the Conversation Partners Program, and host many events throughout the year to support international and domestic students with their cultural, language and academic adjustment to UVic and Canada.
