Biography

Hello, my name is Doreen Provencher (nee, Williams).  My Nuu-chah-nulth name is Chee-kwa-kus (bringing family together).  I am the daughter of residential school survivors (Dr. Barney Williams Jr. & Rose Williams). I am from the Tla-o-qui-aht nation. I was born and raised in Snuneymuxw territory. I am a proud single mother of two.

I have been a visitor to the   lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories for over thirty years.
I bring over seventeen years of post-secondary administrative experience, particularly in budgeting and human resources.  In my role as Administrative Officer, I look forward to collaborating with the team to manage our department's budgets and HR activities.
