Algonquian Linguistic Atlas now includes Siksiká Blackfoot

The Algonquian Linguistic Atlas is an on-line, multimedia linguistic atlas of Algonquian languages. UVic post-doc Heather Bliss has been collaborating with Siksiká elder Noreen (Ikinómo'tstaan) Breaker to document and record Blackfoot phrases for inclusion in the atlas. Users can select from a list of conversational phrases and click on the Siksiká map dot to see and hear the phrases. The full collection of Blackfoot phrases can also be downloaded and played on a computer or in iTunes.
