Erin has had a string of roles in successful TV series since graduating, including a recurring part in Glory Days (The WB) and Life Unexpected (The CW) and her breakout lead role in Godiva's (Bravo!/CHUM), for which she received a 2006 Gemini nomination for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series. Erin became well known for her lead role in CBC's Being Erica, where she played the titular Erica Strange. For her work on Being Erica, Erin won the Gemini Award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series in 2009 and received her third nomination in 2011.

She has also appeared in over fifteen TV films, including Carrie (2002), 10.5, Earthsea, and Snowglobe, and made guest appearances in such series and miniseries as James Cameron's Dark Angel, Steven Spielberg's Taken, Criminal Minds, Rookie Blue, Battlestar Galactica, Supernatural, Men in Trees, Bionic Woman, and The L Word.
