Congratulations UVic Engineering and Computer Science grads!

A message from Acting Dean Peter Wild to spring 2021 grads of UVic Engineering and Computer Science.

2021 May – Our faculty is so proud of the 492 students who are graduating this spring from UVic with engineering and computer science degrees.

On May 27, UVic officially awarded degrees to 375 undergraduate, 61 masters, and 26 doctoral students from the faculty. Of these, 314 were from engineering and 148 from computer science.

An additional 30 undergraduate students from other faculties were awarded degrees in a combined computer science program, for an overall total of 178 computer science related degrees.

Because of COVID restrictions, graduating students won’t taking part in convocation or other in-person celebrations. However, we look forward to providing an in-person event sometime in the future.

Our faculty is very proud of the hard work and resilience our grads have shown and we encourage them to join the university community in celebrating their achievement by viewing – and contributing to – the UVic grad wall, which shows posts about new grads.

“You’ve all completed a very demanding degree on top of having to do your final year of studies with the unique pressures brought on by a pandemic,” said Acting Dean Peter Wild. “I sincerely congratulate each one of you for your hard work and perseverance – this is truly a significant accomplishment.”

Grads are invited to view the video message from the Acting Dean, as well as a longer campus-wide video.
