About Gabriel

Gabriel Tamura is a Computing and Software Systems Engineer with Master's and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Engineering. He has been devoted to academia as a university professor, researcher, and advisor, with research interests spanning software engineering, digital twins, applied data science and artificial intelligence, and software architectures for self-adaptive and intelligent systems.

In addition to his academic career, Gabriel co-founded and managed a software development company for several years, where he led the design and implementation of web-based software solutions for the services sector. Although this entrepreneurial experience took place early in his professional career, it provided him with valuable insights into software engineering practice, technological innovation, and the transfer of research into real-world applications—perspectives that continue to inform both his research and teaching.
