About Yun
Yun is an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Victoria. She holds a PhD from the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh.
Yun's research interests include differential privacy, secure MPC, rational cryptography and provable security. Currently, she is mainly focused on differential privacy. Some of her recent works in this area include privatizing text (with applications to privacy-preserving LLMs), privatizing BC Transit data and the estimation/auditing of mechanism implementations.
She is also actively involved with industry collaboration-based research on consensus and blockchain security under various (e.g., work, stake, reputation, rational) assumptions and various constraints/limitations.
