About Valerie
Valerie is a professor of computer science at the University of Victoria. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, where she studied under Richard Karp, and a JD also from UC Berkeley.
Valerie's research focuses on randomized algorithms, with particular expertise in dynamic graph algorithms and Byzantine fault tolerant distributed computing. She is a fellow of the ACM in recognition of her contributions to these areas.
