Daniel is a professor of computer science at the University of Victoria. Daniel's research focuses on software engineering, with a focus in open source, mining software repositories and the impact of AI
and intellectual property in software development,

In addition to his research, Daniel teaches courses across the department including database systems, programming languages, mining massive datasets and the data science.
