About Sudhakar

Dr. Sudhakar Ganti is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Victoria, BC, Canada since 2004.

Prior to joining the university he worked in the telecom industry of Ottawa, Canada for 10+ years in various positions with Nortel Networks, Newbridge Networks, Tropic Networks and Alcatel.

His expertise and areas of research are in:

  • traffic management
  • traffic engineering
  • quality of service for high speed networks
  • anomaly detection
  • traffic based network security analysis
  • resource allocation for cloud computing

He holds several patents, published several conference, journal papers as well as a book on quality-of-service in ATM networks.
