About Anthony

Anthony primarily teaches first and second-year computer science courses at the University of Victoria. He designs active learning environments across all his courses to maximize engagement, and works to ensure all students feel welcome, supported, and capable of success.

Anthony's research focuses on introductory computer science education. His doctoral work examined how interaction data from practice programming tools can be used to identify and support struggling students. More recently, he has been investigating how interactive tools (like GenAI) affect student learning, confidence, self-efficacy, and metacognition.
