Child & youth programs

UVic offers a variety of child and youth camps, running during spring break, summer and throughout the year. Camps feature hands-on learning, climbing, swimming and specialized sports, often led by UVic students.

Science Venture

Science Venture (STEM): Weekly summer camps, in-school workshops, and clubs covering science, technology, engineering, and math for youth ages 5–18, including specialized girls' STEM programs.

Vikes recreation camps

Vikes Recreation Camps including spring break sports & adventure camps, youth climbing, swimming, martial arts and basketball/rugby clinics.

Indigenous camps

Indigenous Camps including the Mini-University Summer Camp for Indigenous youth, offering a campus experience with activities, meals and accommodation.

Math camps

Math Camps offer specialized math camps and contests for high school students, including the IMAGINING UVIC camp. 

Let's Talk Science

Let's Talk Science connects educators and youth with outstanding volunteers to deliver a wide variety of meaningful science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning experiences in both school and community settings.

Science Rendezvous is a free day of exploration related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) — full of fun activities, exciting demos and interesting research! For K-12 students, educators and science enthusiasts of all ages.

Centre for Outreach Education

The Centre for Outreach Education (CORE) provides a range of services designed to support K-8 students, including one-on-one tutoring, life-skills workshops, educational events and community-building activities.
