University Systems offers self-directed online training courses for faculty and staff. 

April 2021 - All of our training courses have been moved into Brightspace. If you previously completed training in Coursespaces you will have to enroll in the Brightspace version to see updated training content.

Cascade Content Management System training

This course has been re-designed! If you're interested in learning Cascade or looking to brush up on your skills, check out our revamped training course created in partnership with Communications + Marketing. 

 

Microsoft Teams Owner training

Team Owner training is required for team owners of departmental teams and self-managed teams. You can check out our FAQ section and Teams request form for more information.

 

Phishing awareness training

All faculty and staff are encouraged to take Phishing awareness training. If you were previously enrolled in the Coursespaces training course, we recommend enrolling in the new Brightspace version to check for new content!  For more information, visit https://uvic.ca/phishing.

 

Connect (SharePoint 2013)

This course has been re-designed to include all three levels of training in a single Brightspace course. Level 1 and 2 are recommended for all Connect users and Level 3 is required for anyone looking to become a site administrator.
