Logins and passphrases
The Affiliate Identity Management System (AIMS) manages affiliate privileges and services at UVic. Affiliates are sponsored guests of UVic that require access to online resources or a UVic ID card to access library resources. Each affiliate must be sponsored by a UVic employee for the duration of their teaching, learning, research, or other work-based relationship with UVic. Examples of affiliates are UVic contractors, visiting scholars, visiting researchers, or visiting students.
Using an online form, affiliates can apply for a primary NetLink ID, granting them access to services such as UVic email address, wireless Internet, the UVic Library website, Moodle, FAST, and Banner.

How do I request or access this service?
Visit https://aims.uvic.ca to apply for an affiliate NetLink ID. Your request will then be emailed to the sponsor as well as the Computer Help Desk for approval. Please note that the sponsor's information you enter must match the information in the directory.
What is the cost for this service?
This service is provided free of charge.
When is this service available?
Your affiliate ID is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You can be informed of service interruptions by subscribing to Informed.
