Teams Phone available April 2024

University Systems is excited to share that Microsoft Teams Phone is now available.

Teams phone provides UVic Microsoft Teams accounts with regular phone service capabilities. Your existing UVic local phone number or a brand-new telephone line can be assigned to your Teams account. This is suitable for those who use Teams often and do not need a physical phone device.

Teams phone is at a reduced price compared to existing Cisco physical and softphone services.

At this time Teams phone is not available for departmental shared phones or phones with calling trees. 

To request Teams phone:

• Submit a new local Teams phone request form if you want a brand new local.
• Submit an existing Teams phone request form if you want to switch your existing phone to Teams phone.
