PaperCut Upgrade and OS updates

Effective 25 minutes ago: PaperCut will be upgraded to the latest version 15.3 and OS updaates applied.

All PaperCut printing services including online payment will be unavailable for approximately two hours during this upgrade.

NETS: Wireless site survey in CST Feb 10 2016

Effective 15 hours ago: Network services will be performing a wireless site survey in the newly-renovated CST building to assess wireless coverage.

A technician will be mapping the building out on February 10 starting at 7 AM.

No outages or interruptions are expected to services, this notice is to make staff at CST aware of this taking place.

SharePoint "https://connect.uvic.ca" Patching

Effective 1 day from now: Starting Friday night and continuing into Saturday the latest Microsoft Updates will be applied to the SharePoint farm https://connect.uvic.ca .The December Cumulative update for SharePoint 2013 will also be applied.

There may be interruptions to connectivity to https://connect.uvic.ca while the individual servers are restarted after being updated.

The Informed will be updated when the work has been completed.

NETS: 2 network switches down in ELL 415

Two network switches are down in ELL 415, they may have encountered problems after power testing this morning.

This would affect some network connectivity on the 4th floor Elliot for voice, data and wireless. Two switches are still live.

Research Server Class TSM Backup Service Unavailable
