Themes

Visual anthropology and materiality

I graduated from UVic in 2015, with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Sociology. My interests include creative practices, everyday life, sound studies, urban settings, marginality, food, the arts, and social space. I draw on a range of theoretical perspectives and research methods, including phenomenology, critical theory, sensory ethnography, and arts-based practices.

I am currently pursuing a master’s degree, under the direction of Dr. Alexandrine Boudreault-Fournier. My research is focused on buskers (street musicians) performing in Montreal’s metro stations and connecting underground passageways.
