Get ethics approval

You will need to get ethics approval from UVic if your research involves:

• human participants
• animals

Note: the review of your application involves several steps and can take several weeks, so please start the process as soon as possible.

If necessary, you can access your funds early; however, approvals must be in place before funds get released and your research begins. Contact the research funding team to request a pre-release of funds.
