Nuu-chah-nulth Salmon Governance Project Coordinator
with Ha’oom Fisheries Society, in collaboration with the Balance Co-Lab

This is a four-year role supporting the Restoring the Five Nations Salmon Laws & Collaboration Protocol Project. The initiative is dedicated to documenting, revitalizing, and affirming traditional Nuu-chah-nulth salmon laws and governance practices for the Nations of Ahousaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Hesquiaht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht, and Ehattesaht/Chinehkint.It's strongly encouraged for Indigenous applicants to apply.
Position highlights:
- 4 days per week, 4-year term with potential extension
- Compensation: $45,000 - $52,500 annually + benefits
- Hybrid (remote & in-person), with travel to Nuu-chah-nulth Nations on Vancouver Island
- Start date: As soon as available

Past Wrongs, Future Choices - Call for Translators

The Past Wrongs, Future Choices project is looking for translators from October - December 2025. PWFC is in need of both Japanese to English translations AND Portuguese to English translators.
Work will be to translate English text into Portuguese or Japanese, and Portuguese or Japanese text into English, under the intellectual supervision of Dr. Masumi Izumi (Doshisha University), and collaboratively with Archives Cluster members, Spotlight Researchers, and HCMC transcriber-encoders, developers and co-op students.
