Project title: 

Essence of Craft and the Role of Social Value Judgements in the Craft and Tradition-Based Organizations

 

Background 

Amit's dissertation is on the role of social value judgments in craft and tradition-based organizations and how craft and tradition-based industries constantly face the challenge of growing businesses without compromising the perceived authenticity of their products. He will study the craft-based sake brewing industry in Tokyo and Niigata regions in Japan.
