Child care bursaries
These bursaries are awarded on the basis of a separate application. The GSS Child-Care Bursary is awarded once a year, with an October 15th application deadline. The UVSS Child-Care Bursary is awarded three times a year, with application deadlines of September 30, January 31, and May 31. Applications require child-care receipts for the relevant application period.
Bursaries marked with an asterisk (*) are administered by the University of Victoria Foundation.

One or more bursaries are given to graduate students who demonstrate financial need based on British Columbia Student Assistance Program standards and local child care costs. The bursaries will be used solely to fund actual child care costs which are not paid from other sources such as Government Ministries. Child care funds will be made payable directly to the caregiver. Eligible services may include: private daycare, UVic child care and babysitting services. Application forms may be submitted to the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office between August 15 and October 15. The bursaries will be awarded shortly thereafter.

One or more bursaries are given to students who demonstrate financial need based on British Columbia Student Assistance Program standards and average costs normally paid for child care. Applicants need not be receiving government funding to be considered for this bursary. Eligible services may include: private child care, UVic child care, and child-minding services. The bursaries are used solely to fund actual child care costs which are not paid from other sources such as Provincial government agencies. Recipients must be registered in at least 3 credit units of a degree program at the University of Victoria and be in good academic standing. Application forms can be submitted to the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office. Deadline for application is September 30, January 31, and May 31.
