Printing at home

The approved printer for home use is a Ricoh P311 B&W printer (No scanning or colour printing available at this time). The cost is $313 plus tax and shipping.

• This printer is only available for outright purchase and will not come with a service contract.
• Departments are responsible for costs associated with the printer. (toner, repairs etc)
• You’re responsible for unpacking it, setting it up and connecting it to your computer.
• If your department is DSS supported, your DSS person will be able to remotely install the appropriate drivers for the printer on a UVic owned and supported computer.
• The printer can be brought back to campus for use on campus as it is an approved printer.
• Home printers are separate from the UVIC/Ricoh/BCNET provincial contract.
