Biography

Carter Conboy is a Hydrologic Modeller Co-op student at the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium. His work focuses on expanding the coverage of high-resolution water temperature projections from the coastal region to other major watersheds in BC. Carter recently completed a co-op with Environment and Climate Change Canada, where he developed hybrid LSTM approaches to model flood events in the Ottawa and Saint John river basins. Moving forward, he is excited to continue applying his background in software development and machine learning to further understand the impacts of climate change on hydrologic extremes. In his spare time, Carter enjoys trail running, cooking and board games.
