Campus holiday closure

The UVic campus will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 25 to Jan. 3. The campus officially re-opens on Jan. 4, 2022. Some services will remain open, but with modified hours. 

Classes for the spring term begin on Monday, Jan. 10. Most instruction will be online from Jan. 10-24.

Student grades will not be posted between Dec. 25 and Jan. 3.

Holiday closure guidelines for PEA, CUPE 951, and CUPE 917 staff are posted to the Human Resources website. 

Winter conditions

Environment Canada is forecasting snow and freezing temperatures over the holiday break. If you are on campus please plan ahead, allow extra time and take care in your travels. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and be prepared for cold, snowy and icy conditions.

Most offices and services will be closed during the holiday break. Holiday hours will also be in effect for many services during December. Check their websites for details.
