I am the subject liaison librarian for the departments of Linguistics, Pacific & Asian Studies, and Religious Studies. Here are my subject guides. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments or suggestions related to the library collection and service.

Ying Liu has a M.A. degree on Applied Linguistics (2001) from Shanghai Maritime University and a M.L.I.S. degree (2004) from McGill University. She is responsible for the collection development, library research skills instruction and reference help in the subjects of Asian Studies, Linguistics and Religious Studies. Her research interests include: library user services, collection development, bibliographic studies, library’s roles in teaching and research, and international cooperation among libraries. The recent publications include: Zheng He's maritime voyages (1405-1433) and China's relations with the Indian Ocean world : a multilingual bibliography  and "Reference Services for Chinese Studies in North America Academic Libraries" in Navigating the Sea of Books: Selected Articles from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sino-American Academic Library Forums on Cooperation and Development.
