Biography

I joined the Faculty of Law after practising labour law in Vancouver.  My teaching areas were in commercial law subjects.  I served as Associate Dean, Academic and Student Relations from 2009-2015 and I retired as a law teacher in 2018.

I am a member of the Brokenhead Ojibway First Nation, located in present-day Manitoba, and have resided in the traditional territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSANEC peoples since 1992.

University and public service are particularly important to me and I have served on the Victoria Foundation, British Columbia Police Commission, British Columbia Public Service Appeal Board, Law Foundation of British Columbia, Vancouver Foundation, University Senate, President’s Advisory Committee on Indigenous Education, amongst other committees and boards.
