End of Summer Session: Can you believe the end of Summer session is quickly approaching? Whether you are finishing up your UVic degree program, planning to take a break from your studies, or possibly returning home after studying at UVic, there a few considerations to keep in mind. Read our latest article that provides useful information about your status in Canada before completing your studies this summer.


Canada Revenue Agency Webinar Series

Canada Revenue Agency is pleased to host a series of live webinars in July and August to help people understand and file their taxes. On August 17th, they are specifically hosting a session for International Students to outline the benefits and credit payments that they may be eligible for. Get your UVic ONECard Now!

Will you be new to the UVic Campus in September? If so, there are a few things you can do to help beat the rush and avoid the long line ups at the UVic ONECard office this summer. For students, the UVic ONECard is everything! It’s an official student ID, an easy way to buy food on campus, a Universal bus pass, a library card and so much more. Beat the rush and get yours now by visiting the ONECard office webpage, and by following the steps outlined here!


Sexualized Violence Prevention Consultation and Review

The Office of Student Life is looking for feedback on sexualized violence prevention (SVP) education at UVic as we work to improve our programming. The consultation is open to all UVic students, even if you have not attended SVP workshops in the past. You can participate by completing a survey or attending a virtual focus group. Students who participate in the focus groups will receive a $15 honorarium. You can find the Focus Group Registration - here, and the Survey Link - here

We have some really fun and exciting short-term volunteer opportunities to welcome new International Students to Canada and to the University of Victoria through our International Student Services’ Orientation Programming.
