In the Know: Advice for International Students

International Student Advising: The ISS International Student Advising team provides pre-arrival support, settlement services on arrival, and non-academic assistance throughout your program of studies at UVic. We can answer your questions about Canadian immigration documents, work authorization, health insurance, housing, banking, and other issues related to your international student experience.


Global Community Student Social Drop-in

Are you missing hanging out with Global Community friends? We sure are! Beginning the week of October 19th – 23rd we will be hosting a weekly virtual Global Community Student Social Drop-In which will be hosted on Zoom. Weekly date and time to be determined. Drop-in or stay for the whole time. Meet new people, connect with friends, play online games, and just chat. Everyone is welcome! If you are interested in being emailed once we have the details confirmed, please let us know at gcmentor@uvic.ca.


Students of Colour Collective (SOCC) at UVic

The Students of Colour Collective (SOCC) is a Collective of self-identified people of colour at the University of Victoria. SOCC exists to create space that fosters community building, and facilitates networking and gatherings for self-identified BIPOC students at the University of Victoria.
