Updates for international students

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions have been put in place that limit travel to Canada.

All international students should review the appropriate information before travelling to Canada or beginning their studies.

On October 2, 2020, Government of Canada announced an update on travel restrictions for international students to take effect on October 20, 2020. For more information about the announcement, refer to the IRCC news release and the backgrounder.

More guidelines about this update are expected to be announced by IRCC in the coming weeks, please do not make any arrangements to travel to Canada until you meet the requirements outlined on the IRCC COIVD-19 website – Travel exemptions for international students section.

International Student Services (ISS) is a centralized resource providing international services, information and programs for undergraduate and graduate students from pre-arrival to degree completion.

COVID-19 Update: In order to help reduce risk of exposure to COVID-19 to students, staff, and faculty the International Student Centre will be closed until further notice. Although we have transitioned away from in-person services, we are still here to support you. Please email ISS with your inquiries, questions or concerns. Message from Tricia Best, Associate Director, International Student Services, regarding COVID-19.
