- UC3M was founded in 1989 and is a medium-sized institution of 24,000 students.
- Several campuses, including the main Getafe campus for exchange students.
- Completed the International Campus of Excellence project, which created important campus upgrades to buildings and facilities.
- 72% of courses offered can be taken either fully in English, or with a bilingual option.
- Culture is an important part of exchange and UC3M hosts various events, workshops and tours
- Three large residence halls are available for student accomodation.
- UC3M has modern facilities for sports that include a swimming pool, spa, paddle tennis, tennis, squash, bouldering, climbing wall, 7-a-side soccer and beach volleyball fields, indoor cycling and fitness rooms, and multipurpose rooms for sports.
