Gavin is an Interdisciplinary PhD student at the University of Victoria specializing in cultural, social, and political thought. Their work focuses on the intersections of queer theory and political philosophy exploring the ways queer orientations challenge traditional frameworks of power and desire – and the governance thereof. Gavin holds a master’s degree in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmö University in Sweden, and received his Bilingual BA from Glendon College at York University where he studied music (minor) and international studies (major).
