MA (UVic), PhD (University of Toronto)
Area of expertise
Ethics, especially animal and environmental ethics, Indigenous philosophy, Métis thought.
I am a citizen of the Métis nation, and work in Métis philosophy, especially on topics that intersect with kinship. I have been a grateful uninvited guest on Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories since 2017; I live with my wife, daughter, and our animal companion Petunia, from whom I have learned a great deal about relationships with the nonhuman world.
