The European Studies program collaborates with partner US and European universities and the International Exchange Student Services to offer students a variety of options for learning about Europe.
West Coast Model EU
Every year, we send students on an intense and energetic weekend to the "West Coast Model EU" in Seattle. Applications are due each Fall for this opportunity which takes place each February.
EU Study Tour
In May of every year, students admitted to EUS 390A go on a three week tour of the major institutions of the EU. An internship is possible following the tour.
Student Funding
The European Studies program provides research and travel grants to undergraduate and graduate students.
International Summer Institute
UVic’s Insitute for EU and European Studies, Borders in Globalization Lab (BIg_Lab), and the Centre for Global Studies (CFGS), in partnership with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and with funding from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, is hosting two, week-long summer schools to explore specific policy-relevant questions on Canadian borders.
