Registration

Please be sure to include the following in your registration application.

1. Statement of purpose

A summary of your reasons for wanting to participate in the field school. What do you hope for yourself from participating in the I-witness Holocaust Field School? What can you contribute to the group and the program as a whole? If relevant, please include your background in Holocaust and multicultural education (including extra-curricular activities). Your summary should be a maximum of two pages in length and should bear the heading "Statement of purpose".

  • Unofficial transcript(s) of courses taken from all post-secondary institutions attended

  • Letters of recommendation from (1) academic and (1) non-academic referees

  • Signed Liability form 

  • Registration form 

The deadline for applications is November 1, 2019.  

We are planning to hold short interviews with applicants at the end of October and beginning of November. Please sign up at the Germanic and Slavic Studies Departmental Office (Clearihue D243) when you submit your Registration Application.

If you are accepted to the program, you must pay your deposit and purchase travel insurance (or provide proof of coverage) by November 18, 2019.

There will be a group departure on Saturday, May 9, 2020. It is highly recommended that all participants leave Victoria with the group. Return travel is flexible and is at the discretion of each participant.
