Biography

Katherine Bertoni is an Associate Professor in the UVic School of Nursing and a family nurse practitioner in one of Victoria’s first NP-led primary care clinics. Katherine has over 30 years of nursing practice in several areas including paediatric and adult oncology, palliative care, community care, primary care, and diabetes care and management. Her primary research interests include primary care practice models, nurse practitioner practice and leadership, and a palliative approach to care in the primary care context. Katherine is a research fellow with the UVic Institute on Aging & Lifelong Health and a certified diabetic educator.
