First year program:
Please refer to the University of Victoria Academic Calendar and the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science website for more information about the first year engineering standard and immersion year schedules.

Co-operative education: Similar to other University of Victoria Engineering programs, Biomedical Engineering academic terms will be offered in alternate terms interleaved with co-operative education terms after the first year.

Notes:

(1) There are two streams in Biomedical Engineering program flow: an electrical stream and a mechanical stream. Streams begin in term 3A, and where applicable, you must choose courses relevant to your stream. Consult the program planning worksheets (electrical stream or mechanical stream) or speak with a program advisor for schedule planning advice.

(2) Not all courses are offered every term. Refer to the UVic Academic Calendar to verify course scheduling information. Consult with a program advisor for schedule planning advice.

(3) Some electives require additional prerequisites. Refer to the UVic Academic Calendar to verify course pre- or co-requisites.

(4) Disclaimer: You are responsible for ensuring that all degree requirements have been satisfied as outlined in the UVic Academic Calendar. Any errors or omissions on this website do not absolve you from having to complete all of the program requirements. In the case of any discrepancy, the UVic Academic Calendar must be considered the definitive authority.
